Tier II Computer User Support Specialist (Planned Position)
Norfolk, VA - Full Time
*Clearance: a T5 security clearance based on an initiated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) in Defense Information System for Security DISS)*

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive desktop support and service desk operations, troubleshooting hardware and software issues across Windows and macOS platform
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and services including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Utilize remote support tools such as RDP and SCCM to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Operate and manage ticketing systems (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Jira) for proper incident tracking, resolution, and escalation
- Perform user account management within Active Directory, including user provisioning, group policy administration, and access control configuration
- Apply networking knowledge to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Implement cybersecurity best practices and adhere to data handling, access control, endpoint security, and incident reporting procedures
- Maintain compliance with role-based access control (RBAC) and acceptable use policies
- Participate in shift-based or on-call operational schedules as required
- Support remote and hybrid workforce environments with understanding of SLAs and ITIL practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and services
- Experience with ticketing systems and ITIL processes
- Knowledge of Active Directory and user account management
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Effective customer service and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments
- Required Education: Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Required Certification: CompTIA Security+
- 2-4 years' experience
