Position Overview
MicroHealth is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer/Cybersecurity to support our healthcare IT operations. This position combines clinical domain knowledge with engineering expertise to develop, deploy, and maintain interoperable clinical systems that support healthcare delivery, case management, and clinical operations for federal healthcare clients including the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and TRICARE programs.

This position combines clinical domain knowledge with engineering expertise to develop, deploy, and maintain interoperable clinical systems that support healthcare delivery, case management, and clinical operations for federal healthcare clients including the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and TRICARE programs.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps Engineering:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for clinical healthcare applications and systems
- Automate deployment processes to enable rapid, reliable software releases (bi-weekly or more frequent cycles)
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and containerized environments supporting clinical applications
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using industry-standard tools
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline software delivery and improve quality
- Support operations and maintenance of clinical case management systems, electronic health records (EHR), and health IT applications
- Ensure system interoperability between DoD/VA systems and other healthcare platforms
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, security standards (HIPAA, FISMA), and DoD requirements
- Implement and maintain data integration pipelines for clinical, provider, and beneficiary data
- Support credentialing systems, clinical quality management tools, and patient safety applications
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including system specifications, deployment guides, and operational procedures
- Ensure all systems meet applicable contract requirements and federal regulations
- Participate in validation testing to achieve 98% accuracy standards for data transactions
- Support transition activities and knowledge transfer as required by contract specification
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related technical discipline
- OR 8 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for education
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering or related IT operations role
- Demonstrated experience with clinical or healthcare IT systems
- Proven track record implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, ELK Stack, Prometheus, etc.)
- Understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, X12 transactions)
- Familiarity with database technologies and data integration
- Understanding of clinical workflows and patient care processes
- Knowledge of healthcare IT systems and interoperability requirements
- Familiarity with federal healthcare programs (TRICARE, VA, DoD healthcare)
- Understanding of healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, security standards)
- Experience supporting DHA, TRICARE, or other federal healthcare contracts
- Knowledge of DoD Instruction 6025.5 and 10 USC Section 1094 requirements
- Experience with case management systems or recovery coordination programs
- Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar
- Active security clearance
- Experience with medical management (MM) systems including case management, utilization management, or care coordination
- Familiarity with credentialing and privileging systems for healthcare providers
