Lead Security Software Developer
*This is a hybrid position with on-site days reporting to Maryland.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive code reviews to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.
- Ensure that code quality meets established security guidelines and performance benchmarks.
- Develop and implement standardized practices for software code quality assurance across projects.
- Conduct Software Code Quality Checks (SCQC) to ensure compliance with quality standards, security best practices, and performance benchmarks.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to instruct on security best practices.
- Integrate advanced security analyses into the software development lifecycle.
- Actively engage with security stakeholders to develop secure coding initiatives.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies to inform code quality checks.
- Encourage and facilitate innovation within teams to enhance software security methodologies.
- Drive continuous improvement of security software development standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on security and code quality.
- Must be eligible to obtain and hold a Public Trust clearance
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and software security vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency with automated code review tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in improving software performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) or equivalent are advantageous.
$130,000-$145,000
